Right.... High HP rwd car's on street tires can spin the tires to half track is what I was saying, which much more greatly effects mph than spinning in the first 200-300'. Also, our cars still accelerate pretty hard, even when the tires are spinning compared to a rwd car.
I was reading elsewhere that traction can have a impact on your mph. Some of the guys on the vette forums were discussing
It can have an effect a few mph here and there but I am more concerned about your lockout. Especially if it happens going into 4th. This will present a problem in attaining proper mph on your pass. If you can't get into top gear soon enough properly your speed will be low.
Just wanted to update. We installed a buschur double pumper with twin walbro 450 pumps, solid motor mounts, and the new aem air fuel / ethanol gauge with the flex fuel sensor.
Upped the boost just a little. Made 607whp / 417ft lbs on E80!
Taking back to 1/4 mile this saturday to see how it does. Car will now be on a set of hoosiers. We adjusted the launch control map as well. Hoping it goes smooth!
So stoked. First pass off the trailer it went 10.8 @ 134. With a terrible 60’. Went 1.6 60’ on one pass and had my best 1/8 time and mph but missed 4th like a dummy.. It’s got mid 10s in it for sure I think
