265 question

Hey there peeps, my first post, yes, I used the search function but wasn't able to find what I'm looking for.
Wanting to know what offset I need for a 17x9 wheel to fit the federal 265 on stock Mr suspension.
Any input greatly appreciated!

Hey welcome aboard & thanks for posting

Fitting a 17x9 is relatively straight fwd, but will depend on your interest in modifying the rear fenders

For example = 17x9 +29 w/a 265/40 will require a rear fender roll, slight fender pull & a bumper bolt relocation

17x9 +35 w/a 265/40 will likely need just a rear fender roll

Thanks! I was planning on getting the rears rolled so that should make it an easy day. Thanks a bunch!

Do yourself a favor and step up to 18's if you have the cash. Much more tire selection in 265/35r18.

I can but don't want 18s. It's a rough enough ride as it is (I'm coming from owning Bmws so I love a plush ride) don't want to lose ride quality or acceleration from added unsprung weight.

I did a search but didn't find anything on the enkei t6s in 17, only in 18.
Do you know or have you heard what size spacers I'll need on the front to clear the calipers? Looking at the t6s 17x9 +35.

Not familiar w/that wheel. Most Enkies (RPF1, NT03) need front spacers. You can search our system for the keyword T6 & see if you find a thread. Ill check for you as well

There's a few that pop up but for the 18x9.5 +30. One guy has them and runs a 7mm spacer.

You cant go by the noted spacer on the 18's vs what will be needed for the 17's

If there is a way for you to test fit these wheels, that would give you an idea of how much spacer is needed

In my case, i purposely chose 2 sets of 17's that do not require spacers

Going to a 265/35 doesn't really effect ride quality. Also, for worrying about ride quality, you're about to install on of the LOUDEST tires available (Federal). They sound like super swampers.

I breezed right over that you were thinkng about the 265/40 Feds

I run the Fed 595 EvO 265/40's. I really like them. Sean noted their loud. I dont perceive any road noise at all. Although, my RS does have quite a bit of NVH!!!

You got to know one thing, those 265's are one size larger (they are 275's)

Tho with proper offset and some rear fender rolling I shouldn't have any clearance/rubbing issues on stock Mr suspension should I?

I ran the this on the calcu, comparing my setup to your proposal. You will likely need more than a roll (maybe a super flat roll (paint crack) & the bumper bolt relocation)

Ive run a 275 on a 9" wheel & it fit ok, with not too much side wall bulge

Heres a pic of my ride w/the Fed 595 EvO 265/40 mounted on 17x9.5 +30 (my rears are pulled, rolled, bumper bolt relocation & the bumper cover skirt pulled out 1")
