You'll be fine using standard ARP headstuds. 625s are way overkill for your goals and the money saved can be used elsewhere.
I haven't seen anything on any Arashi turbos, but I'd recommend something with more of a record like a journal bearing FP green or 71HTA.
You don't need cams or an exhaust manifold to hit 400whp. A good exhaust, intercooler, turbo and enough fuel is all that's needed.
Best of luck man
Thank you for the information! I didn't think the cams/manifold were necessary for 400, but I figure if I'm able to swing them it wouldnt hurt to get to maybe push those numbers a little higher.
It was my first time hearing of Arashi too, but supposedly SM has a lot of good luck with them and theyre the best bang for the buck ($700-$800) when comparing to FP's etc...I know my friend has an Arashi on his subaru and he also works with SM and its treated him well. I'll have to let you guys know, if I dont end up with an FP!
Well, got the Walbro 255 in the mail yesterday. Got my old pump out etc...which I may add was similar but slightly easier than my 3g Eclipse was. Got the pump out of the housing and realized it already had a hefty 255 already in it Oh well, worth the experience tearing it apart and just put the new one in anyway for peace of mind (so I may have a used one for cheap if anyone needs it, or may keep it as a spare).
Got the factory (i triple checked before tearing into it ) injectors out today too, and the ones from ID should be hear tomorrow. Glad to get the little things rolling and plan on ordering the head studs soon!
I do plan on having the shop do the head studs for me, I would like to say I could do it, but I just dont feel 100% comfortable. I will likely have them do cams then too, for the sake of it being there and for power. My timing components all look okay, but I dont know for sure when it was last done so I might just have them tack it on the job too $$$. Either way Im excited to keep moving forward!
Injector Dynamics 1050cc w/ plug and play clips installed today!
For future reference for anyone who may do this similar setup definitley order the plug and play clips! They plug directly into the black portion of the OEM clips coming from the wiring harness, not the red portion that is around the OEM black part which I originally thought. And from there obviously plug into the ID injectors themselves!

Looks like a very clean and well maintained TB 8. I wouldn't go with an Arashi 25g. It's cheap ebay crap. Save the extra money and go with a the 71hta or a fp green like previously mentioned. I've had my car going on 7 years and the one thing ive learn is its always cheaper to do it right the first time. You want quality results stick with quality parts.

Thanks for the input! I do agree with doing things right the first time, it goes a long way and hasn't let me down on my previous car. I noticed when I did start to shortcut things thats when I had issues. I wasnt too sure about the Arashi either, but after doing some research it looks like a good amount of people have had good luck with them and SM Motorsports runs them on a fair share of customer cars too, including a personal friend whos had his for a few years too. I will hope for the best, and hopefully not eat my words lol.
Head studs, valve springs, and timing kit all ordered this week via STM. Cams shipped in yesterday from Extreme PSI. Turbo will be next and installed soon, quickly making my way towards the shop-date for some work/tune. Getting antsy
