How much boost were you running? This is all cause of not pulling timing I guess. And come to think of it, our rods are pretty skinny.

Rods are the least of your problems. His rods were intact. An unexpected lean out

I wouldn't go so far as to blame not being able to pull timing. clearly that's not the root cause or there would be more users on here with problems; at least one user has run without timing adjust for over two years. the factory knock control seems to be pretty good.

it could have contributed if the ECU could not compensate, but it sounds like other modifications would be closer to the root cause of his issue(ie the MBC he said he installed right before his problem )

So the boost spiked, the ecu didn't catch up. Makes sense. I wasn't sure about the timing knowing that Thunder rush has been running for two years. But just to tell you guys. The shop that worked on my car recently, has finished a Ralliart a month ago using Aem Fic. So far is running good with zero fuel trims. So anyone looking for a piggy can try this. And it retards timing.

so far so good the car started fine I still have to do some minor adjustments... the reason was a spike on boost and the ecu not being able to compensate.... now some road test for leaks and break in... hope it turns out fine
