Question EVO SCAN Error: No response from ECU

I just installed Evo Scan and read my DTC's, well....... after downloading service pack 2, .net Framework and Service Pack 3 it ran like a top. I checked my DTC's it pulled up a 0p500 Vehicle speed sensor so I clicked clear DTC's it did well I clicked data logger it started right up showing all the info and then the check engine light came on again so I went to check the DTC's again and it will not check them anymore or will data log at all it just says

>Initializing Vehicle ECU
>Initializing at 5 baud.....
>waiting for INIT response...
>Error: No response from ECU

Any info would be greatly appreciated
Thanks Guys

6 hours later.............................

I have installed Evo Scan 2.5 on not 1 not 2 but 3 computers and the ECU will not communicate to any of them. I even bought another copy and put in a different serial number for the last computer all 3 do the exact same thing as above

Anyone Please Help

how do i get the load to work in evo scan. i have been trying to get my logging to work but the calculated load dosent seem to work, flat line... i have tried to put in my injector compinsation but it really dosent exlpane where to put it in the formula. i have tried just about every combination that i can think of, nothing works.

also does anyone know how to change the oxygen sensor to read as A/F ratio? my wide band setup has a simulated narrow band output on it. so i have it hooked up to the rear o2 sensor input so i can log it. it is a little tricky trying to do a voltage to A/F ratio in my head on the fly....

I just freshly installed Evoscan on my new laptop, and I noticed that Injector Duty % stays at 0...and yes I am logging IPW, and yes the formula seems correct.

What gives? 2.5 btw....

make sure that IPW is above duty % on the item list...if you look at the formula for duty % it references IPW in its calculation, so IPW has to be above it.
Hope this helps

For loadcalc to work you have to have battery and afrmap selected and they both have to be above loadcalc in the item list. The loadcalc formula references both these items so they have to be selected too.
Also, for a more accurate reading maybe you should look into getting your 2byte load setup, have a look:

Hmm. I never really thought about it having to be above it....but if so that makes sense why it doesn't work, thanks!

dell

I just bought a Dell Mini9 to use for EcuFlash/Evoscan and wanted to ask if anyone was using this netbook to log with or knew if it is sufficient enough to do so. It has 1GB memory, 8GB solid state drive memory, and uses the Intel Atom N270 processor. The computer will only be used for 1 car.

Should work fine... RyuTurbo uses one to monitor our tune on his 10.80@126mph record stock turbo Evo. Now at 530whp with the evored, it will be even more important.

Is there any way someone could give me the correct est horsepower and est torque formulas? My figures go all screwed up some how. Any help would be appreciated. thanks. This is obviously in reference to Evoscan.
For torque I have ([WHP]*5252/[rpm]. Am I just missing the parenthesis on the end ir should there be no parenthesis at all?
For Hp I have [LbsMin]*9.15.

Nevermind- think I figured it out.

OBD2 table is just a map of diagnostic trouble codes. changing value only changes what your diagnostic equipment "sees" as the error. Not of use currently.
