Actually this is not for my personal car. I have a IX. This is for Krisiun's PB X MR.

First post is now updated with an entire write-up.

I've also posted this in the Evo-X Show and Shine to share it beyond the scope of NTEC.

Questions, comments?

Absolutely Fantastic. I know you said it's hard to gauge the real color of that blue from the pictures, but I LOVE the color. If it's anything like what you showed me on your IX, then I know it looks amazing. I am definitely handing over my car to you for this conversion some time soon hopefully. Everything you changed in Krisiun's is pretty much the same thing I want done to mine (except my GSR doesn't have lights on the shifter).

Absolutely fantastic job Andrew. I'm utterly amazed at how good it looks from the pictures. I can only imagine what it looks like in person.

dude that work is awesome! how much will you charge to do your fellow NTEC brothers? good job

only thing i'd request if i get mine done is have a lil bit of a darker blue on the needles to give it more of an aggressive look

Funny you should mention that. The LEDs behind the needles are the same color as the other LEDs. The reason the needles appear the baby blue is because the plastic washes the light out somewhat. I ordered a darker blue led and tried it out, but it significantly dimmed down the needles.

When I do rmondoh's, if he has the patience for it, I might try doing a color changing needle. When I do that, I will have much more control over the exact color, but it will also require a custom fabricated printed circuit board.

Chris just picked up the car. Hopefully he'll respond later tonight or tomorrow with his impressions. He seemed pretty stoked.

WORST JOB EVAR!!!! He left a finger print on my window, and I can still see his butt imprint in my Alcantra seats. J/k

Very professional work. All of the clips are intact, the panels are in perfect alignment. The lights are perfectly matched and the needles do not look as baby blue as in the pictures. I turned the brightness all of the way up on the center console and it was so bright it lights up the entire interior of the car. I have it set at about half and it is as bright as the gauges were stock.

All of the colors match perfect. I have read that blue fatigues the eyes less at night (one of the reasons VW has the blue gauges). I don't know about fatigue, but the AEM gauges in blue seem easier to read. It is hard to explain but they seem sharper.

I will get better pics soon, but all I can say is Andrew does great work, and he didn't even use a metal hammer.
