Dennis F had problems with it clanging with Comp 280s. I had those before the Buschur cams and they were relatively smooth idling as cams go. Not too different than HKS 272s and a lot smoother than Kelfords or S2s.

Very nice !! Is that boost actuated ? Must be long *** boost line lol . Probably best to use a hard plastic or metal or braided vacuum line to help with response and less expansion . Assuming it's boost actuated .

Yes, boost actuated. Thinking of using copper tubing for the line. Not sure whether to route under the car or in the car. Still planning it out.

that actuator is neat. it would be cool if you could get one that shut with vacuum, and was open at 1psi or more

This may sound crazy, but has anyone tried a corvette NPP exhaust (well, technically 1/2 of a corvette NPP exhaust)???

The corvette exhaust butterfly is vacuum operated, meaning under vacuum the baffled side is used. Then once boost comes on, the straight pipe side would be used.

I've seen them on ebay for about $350. Now granted, both tips would not fit thru the evo's single cutout in the bumper, but you could cut off the straight pipe tip and put a simple downturn on it.

I'm going to research this a little more, as I don't like the VT rattle.

Here's one on ebay right now for $700, which could be used for 2 evo's. Run a vac line from the engine bay to the solenoid and we're in business.

Now to find the dimensions...

I'm really enjoying my boost actuated cutout (pictured above). After a half dozen other setups, this is perfect for me. It's similar in volume to stock but when I hit about 11 psi and above it sounds like an aggressive turboback. Around town my normal driving doesn't hit that boost level unless I want it to, since I have a Black. But since I got it working, whp and boost response jumped way up to. I had to retune and lower boost duty cycle.
