That was when I was running a black, but now I'm running a BBK at 27 psi. The Black set-up did over 500 whp on VD on 93 and hit 20 psi around 4100 rpm in 3rd on a 2.0. I can't remember when it hit 30 psi, but it was just a few hundred rpm more. It was knock free with the cutout open. I just decided to get a smaller setup for autocross, though I haven't done as many events as I had hoped this summer.

I have been searching the internet to find a fix for this same issue on my alltrac. Thanks for the post.

Sound Performance makes this valve. It starts to open at 5 psi and is fully open by 11 psi.

Here are some pics:

I see that it's a Y at the test pipe, but is it slip fitted or welded onto the test pipe?

Well I cut my test pipe down and slipped fitted the ends into the y-pipe and used the clamps that came with the y-pipe at first. I later removed the entire setup and had it all welded together, so no more clamps. I'm still running this setup and I still think it one of the best mods I have ever done.

Here is a link to the y pipe I used. The flange wasn't exactly the same as what the cut is, so my local exhaust shop removed and replaced it with the correct one:

Bringing this back from the dead. Any update on this? Anyone running it this way for some extended time? Thanks.
