Hey all,

Went to RRM this saturday and Boe and me worked on the lancer most of the morning in preperation for stage 2. As most of you know I have an intercooled auto running about 6 psi. This weekend we put on a header and a test pipe. MAN DID THAT WAKE UP THE CAR!!!!!!!!

Now with my magnaflow cat back and that this sucker screams!!!!!!!! Also we put all the necessary peices together and will be tuning and terrorizing these next few weeks to bring you all the stage 2 for auto boys.

Hows the tranny holding up? I have always assumed the tranny was a decent piece, because after some research I found out its basic design is used in V-6 aplications. I just was wondering if it indeed handles the higher torque loads.

Also, are you running a tranny cooler now, or perhaps in the future? If your not, you might want to give it some thought....

I will be running a bigger cooler soon, just need to install it.

Yeah this tranny is the same one used in the 2.4L and 3 L 96-03 eclipse and some other cars that seem to handle some decent power.

 

so wat exhaust setup are you running? the buschur one? or what? and how much does 6psi put to the ground?

 

i am running the magnaflow cat back, the one RRM sells.

Around 6 psi i was pushin 194 at the wheels before header and test pipe.

 

how much psi is stage two going to be?

 

8 or 9 (depending on the tranny) atleast that would be my guess.

 

I'm shooting for the same 9psi that we push on the manuels. Guru will be adding the cooler and that won't be a part of the kit. I figure summit can sell you those all day long for cheap(like 50-80 bucks). Then you'll just basically get the same kit that manuel guys do just some different wiring for the piggyback. I figure the auto at 9 psi should still stay with the evo's if not beat them. We'll see!

 

Damn, I am getting very excited. I need to save up money faster and get my turbo and intercooler!!

Yeah bills suck man... that is why i avoid them all together! Guru just give's his check to the misses so he actually is able to save money...

 

yeah the misses gets the checks i get to spend the crumbs left over on my car.

 

lol that works out nicely.

I put my checks + tips in the bank and take the money i get from mowing lawns, to just blow on fast food and ****.

(fast food/gas is my bills)

 

i know this sounds motherish and wayy off topic... .... but... if u made ur own samiches... yeah thazz right i said SAmmichez lol.... trust me.. u'll Have that turbo alot sooner!!! if u eat fast food 2wice a day thass roughly 15 bucks a day... times that by 5 or 7 depending how many days you go ... thass 75 to 105 bucks a week!.. you could be boostin sooner than u think...
