Last night we did some logging and estimated 1/4 mile pulls. There is still a lot of tuning to be done the car is still running at a 9:1 in some areas. Unfortunately GURU had to go out of town this weekend. We'll pick it back up next weekend.
Here's the info...
1) Consistant 15 sec 1/4's at 89-90mph speeds(did 5 pulls). This without a good launch... we basically roll out and then punch it. The car is to rich for launching(bogs a little).
2) Our 0-60's averaged 7seconds but we can't launch the car yet so i'd say they should probably be about mid to high 5's.
3) Once in gear and going the car is very fast and strong... i'd say easily in the mid 14's if not lower when all is properly tuned.
4) We held a consistant 9psi from around 2900-3200 rpm to redline and after several consistant pulls the tranny NEVER had any issues. Not to mention i'd been doing pulls all day to tune.
5) Most NA auto's i've seen pull 18's in the 1/4. Turbo'd ones i've seen do 16's. We had consistant 15 flats running so rich that when you let off the fuel/smoke is just belowing out the exhaust. The car will be in the 14's when finished and to go from 18's to 14's is a HUGE difference.
The automatic is very difficult to tune and touchy all over... we are getting close but the driveablity is taking a lot of time. Thus i'm concentrating on that for now and i'll do boost later next week hopefully. Again thanks for the support and hope this info helps quench your thirsts.

i pull a 17.8 in my auto. its sad i know but hey its better than stock 18.3 anyways have your guys maybe considered a cam with this package? rpw has one and i know i shouldn't talk about competitors and all but i am just throwing it out there. i am a loyal rrm customer and i trust that what they sell me is what they say it is. i am not gonna lie. i recently bought a cam because i can't afford a turbo currently. i wish it was an rrm one. well its just a thought...
on a different note. what exactly is different from the orignal kit that this one has and the other one doesn't? i have your header, tb, piggy back etc... what don't i already have? it sounds like the kit is just the regular kit with a tb, header, and intake manifold. if it is i will go ahead and buy the intake manifold so i can work up to the ultamant goal of stage 2093243029u430294 turbo lancer lol but serously the tranny cooler was the obv soulution to the auto tranny problem but no one was puttin it together. thanks for makin us think lol. all i can say is you guys (rrm) rock (not rock though he is wierd lol jp) and i am so happy that you took interest in helping us auto guys. everyone already gives us a hard time and the last thing we need is to lose in a race to a stick.
thanks and keep rockin rock!!!! and boe and guru!!!!

I am weird I guess. Auto is progressing well. We figure antoer vouple weeks of field testing and drivablity tuing is in order though. Everything is being checked and double checked for relaibility and of course performance.

drove it to work this morning (this isnt like most of your normal comutes, I live 55 miles away from work, and it is almost all uphill and twisties, for you in So Cal I take the Ortega to work), it drove like a champ. A few spots to touch up but it seems great so far, lots of power and 8 psi comes alittle too quick i think hahaha. Gonna have to watch my lead foot to help keep my gas mileage.
Thanks again ROCK and especially Boe!

WOW! what an exciting night that was.
We got alot of work done last night (4.5 hours of tuning and 100 more miles, brings the total mileage up to 600 miles of tuning and testing!!!).
Car feels good now, drivability is fantastic and in boost we are still super safe (perhaps too safe as we can lean it out and get some more power hahaha).
More updates to come but thanks again Boe!!!!!!!

Yeah no worries... i'm glad we are getting the auto to respond the way it is. We are holding 8-9psi steady and consistantly. At least you can actually punch it now... although there is still a little bit of fuel to take out there.
The suprising thing to me was that the car instantly pops into boost... i mean you stab the gas and it jumps to about 1psi... and within 500 rpm your at 3-4psi. By 2200-2500 rpms the sucker was at 8psi.
Man i wish my car did that!!

i defintiely want you guys to make sure its CORRECT, because none of us want any type of unreliability under the hood!
