XEDE vs. UTEC??? Anyone know the differences???
XEDE vs. UTEC??? Anyone know the differences???
Ok...I hear Shiv is concentrating on some sort of TX thing for the company....can someone that is a know all end all person (Eric or MP5) please tell me the differences between the XEDE and the UTEC? I am definately interested in both, and am unsure if just a reflash is right for me...I'm upgrading here and there so a flash would cost me more in the long run.
Thanks to anyone that helps out!

If you want to know the diffrances maybe you should search Nasioc and read all you can about it. If you have any spasific quetions you can get them answered in Xede EM forum or Utec EM forum. Nathan form TXS is very nice a does not know the meaning of a dumb question.
Just looking to keep the peace and not start anything. It's bin nice and quite and with out a VERY to the point quetion saying any more would turn into a fight.

But bottom line is with any User tunable EM system when they come out there will be bugs that will be needed to be delt with and then you can turly compare the two.
But as far as one making more power then the other with the same tuner in all honesty I can't see it. Unless one goes complete Speed density were the other can't. Pro-Xede is Speed density, Utec does not offer that yet.

I definately don't want to start a fight in here or anywhere. I never could understand why people just cant say what they have to say and not start crap. It's retarded and honestly shows the mental age of the person reguardless of their physical age ya know! LOL
Anyways...thanks Bud!!!

I understand XEDE is going to be able to control the water sprayer and all the fun stuff...not sure if the UTEC is going to. I think I'll post a link to this in the UTEC section too...maybe I can get some cross comments.

And I'm not just assuming anything but I have talked to you in PMs and you might be better off with a Ecu reflash over Xede or Utec. If you do want a user tunable computer to be able to load maps in when you upgrade then you will need to chose witch tuners approch suits your needs. Or will need to have a source to go to for custom dyno tuning. Following a upgrade path is the safest way to enjoy your car for years with out any down time because of poor tuning. IMHO.

The whole which suits my needs....that's why I was asking the differences. I like the XEDE windows based software I have seen pics of. Looks pretty easy to not only perform the adjustments...but probably just as easy to F them up as well. The UTEC looks like it might be DOS based or maybe DOS in a window kind of thing....I am one of those people that hate DOS...so not to hot on that. Plus the XEDE looks, at least from what I have seen, easier to manipulate. I could be wrong though on the DOS thing and the easy to manipulate thing as well.
