Lean cold start SD

so I’ll start by saying I have a built head hex springs valves S2 cams ets upper lower IC ets core tuned on SD by English racing the problem I am having is that once the car is fully cooled off and I fire it up it idles around 1300 rpm but is pegged full lean like ——— on my wide band till it fully warms up if I don’t let it fully warm up it will stall coming to a stop how do I fix this I have evo scan and a cable and ecuflash once warmed up the problem is gone it just wants to peg lean till fully warmed up this is an evo 9 with an evo 8 head btw

Yes it has it just pegs lean till it’s fully warmed up once it’s warm it idles nice at around 13.5/13.8ish vacuum is at 12 inhg which I was told is normal for s2 cams it just idles really lean and rough for about 5 minutes

I’m not sure what SD rom it’s running it’s a Evo IX block with a Evo VIII head on it like that when I got it the car drives and pulls like a MF it’s just when cold it is crap lean I thought maybe it was because of the bigger cams I pulled my Tactrix cable out from my old Evo VIII last night but haven’t checked the tune yet... hoping I have some day day light after work to scan it and see if I can make a slight adjustment to it...
it was tuned by English racing I know that because they did the build and tune I got all the records reciepts on the car

Do you have any logs of the tune? Do you have the ROM uploaded that you can add to the post? The logs are needed to verify the temperature of the coolant to make sure the correct table cells is adjusted. It is good to see the temperature at where the car is getting stable AFR to keep that as it is.

First verify that when the car has completely warmed up and with the car parked, that your AFR between 1200-1500rpm is where you want it. If all is good then it should be that you only need to adjust the warmup tables. If it runs lean at 1200rpm - 1500rpm when the car is warmed up and parked, then you first need to adjust the VE tables. Assuming VE is good, when the car is dead cold start the logger (log coolant temperature, STFT, RPM, LOAD, wideband AFR) and then start the car with it in Neutral and Emergency brake pulled. Once started let off the clutch and just let the car warmup without you doing anything. I would contact Aaron and he can change the tables for warmup enrichments based on your log. This can be an iterative process so do not expect it to be fixed in one go.

I’m hoping to get a lot of it tonight been working 14h days once it completely warms up it idles great at like 13.8ish like I said with a little bit of bounce in the afr but when dead cold it’s lean like pegged lean and starts to stumble then catches it self I need to check and see if my wide band is wired to log with Evo scan if I can get a log today or tomorrow I’ll post it up if not I’ll post it Saturday morning so you guys can look over it

well I figured since I wasn’t the person who had it tuned it would have to go through the whole process again and pay for it since the car drives great when warm I could just adjust it myself for the cold start idle as a matter of fact though the car will be there next week for a heater core replacement you can hook it up and adjust it if you want lol
