Teach this old dog new launch tips

2006 evo. Fp red. 23 psi e85. 450whp. Conti sport tires. Stock ecu tuned

the best I can do is 2.0 0-60. But I live in the 2.2-2.4 times. My mph in the 1/4 is 120. It does start moving until second- third gears.

my best is 4500 rpm and slip the clutch. I tried a 6k dump and nothing

what am I doing wrong. Sti I ran all night was cutting 1.6 with fp black.

I think you are going to have to be more specific about what nothing means with the 6k clutch dump.

Are you on a 2 step building boost or just free reving to the RPM you are targeting?

Interested/subscribed. I recently got my launch control working. Very fun to use. I also found that 4.5k RPM seems to be the sweet spot and launches the car like a bat out of hell. But in an effort to save my clutch/drive-train parts (as much as I can anyway - trying to slip it while not burning the clutch), looking forward to learning from here.

i don’t have a two step, stock computer launch control. I try it at different rpms to see if it makes a difference

But you are using the launch control? So flooring it with the clutch in? How many lbs are you building at launch? I mean basically the idea is to hit it as hard as the track and your driveline will take.

The Evo platform isn't ideal for drag racing.
Long painful road.
