AGT 62mm vs fp black
Howdy. What are your thoughts on agt 62mm vs a fp black. Agt rear stainless housing and fp has mhi housing? Tossing up between the two for a 2L on e85. Future displacement will be either 2L LR or 2.3

Both will be pretty laggy on a 2.0 . The SS housing is really laggy and torque less on the bottom. the stock MHI housing and manifold were designed to spool up quick and produce good low end torque.
FP black should be starting to party by 4500.
62 around 5000
An FP red MHI will work better for a street car. 4000-4200 spool up and be able to make around 550-600whp all in. It still is the best bolt on turbo for these cars . Its OEM + and can power slide on demand
FP black should be starting to party by 4500.

He is right. I have a BB FP Red and it still spools well enough for street use. If you must go big Turbo REALLY go for it and build it to Rev. My BB red can still road race and give plenty of power under the Curve.

I didn't chime in earlier because I don't have any experience with the black or the AGT but I will say that the MHI Red is excellent. I moved from a Green to the Red and couldn't be happier.
Car makes excellent power, is always ready to party and a ton of fun.
At this point, I am being limited by my stock exhaust and intake manifold but its a really nice street setup.

Thanks for the replies. So like for like 62mm agt with mhi and fp black mhi the fp black is the better turbo in terms of spool and power? Both JB. A BB fp black here is like 5k aud
There aren't many if any people here in aus making over 350kw (470hp) on fp red that I know of. Average is 330kw to 350kw on 30 to 35psi

FWIW an FP red mhi will make about 420-440whp on pump gas. 550-600whp all in on good fuel.
FP black mhi will make about 440-460whp on pump gas. 575-650whp all in on good fuel.
