FP Black or GTX3076R.... thoughts?

What are your thoughts between these two turbos. FP Black vs a turbo kit with a gtx3076r? Which would you all think is better for pump? Which is better for e85? I haven't seen an Evo X with a GTX3076R yet... perhaps I've overlooked it. Thanks in advance!

fp Black. I had a 30r nice but there is more power to be made with the black especially on e85 just look at the dyno threads.

Yea... but I'm assuming that you were using a GT not a GTX... not that there is a hugggge difference, but some difference at least.

Yeah it was a gt3076r on my rb25det in my 240 but it didn't give me the power that I wanted

In reference to the first reply... which would give the most power on pump? Most power on e85? I think spool would be fairly close between the two.

My guess is the black would make better power on both pump and E85 as it does on the 8/9 always..

I would probably say black...but personally without seeing any gtx30r's on the X yet...I couldn't say for sure. I would think it would be a great turbo with a broad power band...but I still think the black would make more power.

uhh.... I will disagree w/ everyone on here as I think they're missing the all important X in that turbo name. A gtx3076 flows hella more than a gt3076, so those comparisons are void and useless. Just look at this map! A gtx3076 flows a real 65 lb/min, which is what the black claims to flow. And its BB. It should spool faster.

For $, a black will be cheaper. For spool/power, the GTX should win.
I'd still say go with a black, but the gtx should make more power.

That's what I've been thinking! Granted I'm not a turbo guru, that's why I've asked. But I thing the gtx 3076r should be a good turbo. Hmmmm

How much is a gtx3076r? The blacks are already $2k, lol, are they really more money? I mean overall it would be more because you would need to buy a whole kit to run it.
