Admins....
okay, WHY would you want to become a mod? it's like having a second job w/o pay. i know you are very knowledgeable, but i think that the mods, and the originators of this site should be able to decide. this place has gotten huge in the last 3 years. i would nominate you for "Lancer Guru" but i don't think i could ever ASK to be a mod. now if admin asked you, it would be a diff story. just be happy w/ the site and keep giving advice. i know a lot, learn a lot, and generally get good info here, even before i was a member. it's like asking for a promotion, generally not a good idea. but if someone recognizes you, then so be it.
Anyway, do you want to be a mod so you can regulate?
Do you want to spend hours looking at threads, deleting useless threads, and cleaning up peoples messes?
i know Jack is an Evo Guru,
maybe if you ask for anything, it should be a Lancer Guru.

precisely
Im not a fan of editing threads either unless needed.
I would like to be able to help limit reposts, and delete/merge the reposts when needed.
Also, I like things straightlined, on topic, clean and organized.
Besides, i have nothing to do while sitting at work anyway haha. Im on this forum 6+ hours a day.
And spam posts.....we all hate those and know those people need to be banned/deleted. This forum is greatly increasing in spam.
Thanks for the support from everyone, hope it all works out.

well, good luck, just had to give my 2 cents in above. i guess if you really want it that bad, then you should get it. i spend a lot of time on 4g63hawaii.com and it's a private forum. you have to get invited in.the admin and moderators there are really good @ not letting people having endless posts wrong posts etc. sometimes i wish they would be a little more strict here on certain things.
hope you get what you want.

I'll see if we need any use for an extra mod. Don't get your hopes up, just yet.

I vote NO!
OZ, the only reason I would say no is because of the way you handled yourself with the WW3 crap that Kareem and Dave@Accolade went through.
If you had waited for the facts to come out (which you didnt) then you would get my approval for moderator.
Being a moderator would require you to look at the best interest of both party's involved in a disput. Allowing someone to post fictional claims about a company that advertises their product on evom is not what I call professional. If I recall you added feul to the fire and jumped on the Kareem bandwagon with his claims due to your bias towards the products that Accolade sells. Not what a moderator would have done.
You dont approve of the accolade products(ok thats your choice), but you chose to stand behind Kareem's lynching party and his claims that accolade was opperateing without a business license without waiting for the facts to come out. That is NOT how I would expect a moderator to act.
Whether you like the products or not, you showed a very strong decision to show your dislike for them when it really concerned whether they (Dave@Accolade) was opperateing a legitimate business. The topic of discussion was about Kareem claiming they were opperateing without a business license and practiceing illegal painting opperations. NOT ABOUT IF YOU LIKE OR DISLIKE THEIR PRODUCTS. If you want to claim "Accolade products suck" by all means go right ahead, but dont jump on Kareem's lynch mob tactics to hurt the integrity of one man's business and his source of income. Claiming someone doesn't have a business license is NOT the same as saying their products "SUCK".
I REPEAT: If you had waited for the FACTS to come out, and had NOT jumped on the bandwagon you would most certainly get my vote of approval for moderator.
Being a moderator would mean dealing with a problem not adding to it.

Well EVOONYOASS, I am going to have saying that you couldn't possibly be more wrong. Like almost 110% incorrect. Back, long before you came here in October 2004, I am talking around September 2003ish, maybe earlier I had a HUGE problem with Accolade screwing me over, promising me they will fix this and fix that. Well nothing came about because of it and I was stuck paying $1,000 for a broken body kit.
I ended up having to pay another $1,500 for repair work on the broken fiberglass, yes that's right, fiberglass. I ordered a PFRP kit and they sent me fiberglass so that was issue number 1.
Second issue the kit wasnt even remotely close to lining up on the car. I am talking like a good 3+ inches off in certain spots. This was problem 2.
Problem was at the time they were offering a deal, order a kit and receive a free Evo 7 style hood. Well, my hood never came and they assured me it was on the way. Never showed up. This was problem 3
Problem 4 was the taillight covers that came with the kit. These too never came until I complained and then finally they arrived, all smashed and broken.
Problem number 5 was me trying to get in touch with "Jive Motorsports", the fake company you see here on the forums today. I became in contact with the BBB(Better business bureau) and they informed me that there was no such business in Oregon, WA or whereever he supposedly was located. This meant that I had no chance to file a complaint since the company did not exist.
Problem 6 came about when I talked with Dimantha in Sri Lanka and he was very polite and assured me everything would be taken care of however he never did anything about my problem.
Problem 7 was 3 weeks after I ordered the kit I still had no tracking information and no idea where it was, I finally get in contact with Josh at Jive and he tells me he is out of side skirts and will replace them with a set of Kaminari skirts. I agreed and so that is why i have a mixmatched kit now.
Problem 8 is to this day I still have not received compensation for these issues and the money that this company cost me. I know for a fact the company is illegally selling/importing body kits through my OWN personal knowledge of investigating this company and speaking with my family lawyer that I chose not to press charges against.
Now, Problem 9 is the fact that you do know the facts thus making your comment on this thread irrelevant. I appreciate you input but you need the facts first.
Thanks,
Mark

yeah but you must understand the nature of Kareem's posts it wasnt against Accolade, it was just against me the person.. and as you know I have been very good to people on the boards and came much later then your 2003 experience.. you were way to quick to judge but I understand where you are coming from.. so lets just all move on as I am sure OZLancerlunitic well make a fine moderator..
