Admins....

Hi Guys, Girls, and others,

I have been around this forum a long time, over 3 years to be exact. I have torn my car apart numerous times and now have extensive knowledge of the Lancer's electrical, suspension and other components. I have spent thousands in products testing them and learning what does what better.

I understand how to deal with people, what is appropriate, what is not, and the proper action to take in a situation. I browse this forum every day for hours on end(sitting at work, home, etc) and feel I would be a valuable asset to keeping this forum in control.

At this point in time I would like to apply/nominate, whatever you want to call it, myself for a moderator position on the US Lancer boards and maybe other forums depending what is available.

I feel with my knowledge, senority, and dedication to the Lancer community this will all work out well.

Please let me know your opinions,

Mark

I'll tell you what they'll say (I've heard it twice).

PM/email KK (Mark) personally. Show a clear and present need for a new moderator (I.E. - forum that needs help, forum without mod, etc).

That's about it.

In your three years here did you just gloss over the PM function? Why not just PM the moderators? That said, I think that some like you should be a mod. You have the cred that's for sure. Best of luck.

Lancer General needs a mod right now. Kareem is going crazy go nuts up in that joint with his "I hate Accolade" rant.

I have sent an email to Mark(KK) personally and received no response. Possibly is he too busy at the moment.

The reason I did not use PM is because then only those who I PMed will be able to see what I am asking for, when in fact I would rather have any objections be said before/if I become a moderator.

How would you feel if you hated me with a passion then saw me as a moderator who overlooks the forum you love to use.

If anyone has an objection then please feel free to post it.

In that case a trial by fire you shall have! Heh. No, I totally think we need some more moderation on these boards. Things tend to get out of hand. I hope you get your "Moderatorship" thingy. God knows we need someone to lay some more smack down.

I was just up for a mod position, with a good recommendation from another mod, and didn't get it. Good luck though.

Sorry to hear that.

On a side note I have been around here for over a year and a half longer than you, maybe that will have some leverage?

I can say from experience that Mark takes awhile to email back. Very busy guy - sometimes up to a week waiting for a response. But it's understandable.

Self nominated moderators?

Being that I just recently resigned my position, and just stopping by, I'll let you know that you need to contact Mark (KK) or Peejay (lancerevomr). Without recomendations from other moderators, I wish you luck (you'll need it)

Also, another thing.

Be prepared to put forth the effort necessary. Im not talking an hour a night. Sometimes, Peejay has been up overnight to clean and reorganized areas of this site. Its a committmetn, to say the least. I wouldve loved to have continue moderating here, but time is money, and they dont pay you here

Thanks Dave. I appreciate the compliment. Just curious, what makes me "wrong" for the job as you put it?

I'd nominate you... you know what you're talking about and are on the forums enough anyways!

Good Luck
