why keep deleting the threads?
kinda funny how someone posts about accolade and the thread get deleted, but when someone else complains about another vendor the thread stay?...this is nothing against accolade, but keep the thread lock it or something, let people use it for future reference. i can understand the whole kareem vs accolade thing since he did start like 10 threads, but its another person that was complaining, now it just seems like you(admin and mods) are protecting them.
It is possible that the thread is being started by the same person. I personally do not know what the "kareem vs. accolade" thing is about...but the mods and admin have reasons for doing what they do. They do track the user name with the IP address to keep down multiple accounts from doing such a thing...so that is possible here. It's not a conspiracy or anything...just people trying to keep things as drama fee as possible.
Generally it's a question of whether or not we feel the thread 1. illustrates attempts to resolve the problems beforehand. 2. is reasonable/fair in its accusations/complaints. 3. constitutes harassment or 4. is otherwise inappropriate. Quite frankly, as a staff member you're put in a lose/lose situation, and you're bound to **** someone off one way or the other.
I believe a lot of the Accolade threads were deleted because they contain unsupported claims and/or quickly deteriorated from legitimate complaint into pure slander. It's one thing to have a bad experience with a company and try to caution others of their business practices, but it's a completely other thing to simply drag them through the mud.

evom had a vendor review - instead they went for the "Sales Rating" and "parts review" areas .. I personally think that a feedback forum would be best, as it would get good exposure. It is kinda interesting how threads to disappear when someone comments negatively on a vendor. I understand protecting revenue (vendors pay for being a vendor) but .. people have to know the good experiences and bad experiences with a company. That way they can make an informed decision on the product they will be purchasing.

the most recent thread already got deleted, but it didnt make accolade look bad, made the guy that posted it lookk dumb, and incompetent to follow directions not making it acoolades fault...i would have locked it and explained why on the thread was locked....again at least it gives it reference to all the others. that things are not always the vendors fault.

The problem with the rating is people often put things in there before the situation is resolved. And since it cannot be edited or delete the vendor/person gets a bad score just because the person was angry at the time. They should make it so the vendor/person can come explain their side of the situation. You cannot get all the information from just one side of the story.

Do you know the title of the thread? I'll check in the dumpster and see if the mover left a reason.
Nevermind. I read the thread you refered to. It's trash - the original poster stated that Accolade sucks because they couldn't piece his incomplete order together; a couple other people jumped on the Accolade sucks bandwagon even though Dave@Accolade posted that (some) resolution had occured. There's only 2 meaningful posts, and both belonged in PM/e-mail before the thread was started.
There is a big difference between feedback/complaints and slander. A thread titled "<vendor> sucks!" with no apparent effort to resolve the issue beforehand is slander, and the staff will make an effort to protect our vendors from slander; just like we make an effort to protect our members from illegal business practices.

^ no i read the thread also...if you read my post on it, i didnt take sides but was more on accolades side due to the complaint people jumped on with out knowing all tha facts (as always) as for that thread it would have been a good exanple of why people should not jump to conclusions
Your post wasn't what I was referring to. I apologize if I insinuated it was. The original poster should have used a PM to attempt to resolve the situation; and one other individual (who oddly enough didn't bother with the feedback system) for no apparent reason went after Dave. There's no value in it, which is why it's in the dumpster.

^...i know....i thought that thread was good and just should have been locked, and the thread starter warned or talked to about it, MY reason being, is to show the rest of the accolade haters that, It was the consumers fault not (daves or his shipping crew)....
but now to everyone else, it just makes it look like accolade is being protected by the mods here...if anything the mods should be protecting both sides.
