Hardly ever. Nor do I go posting about it if/when it happens. The speed limit is set that way for a reason (regardless of if I like it or not).

I agreed to that when I got my drivers license. As such, I am ticket and accident free, part of which I'm sure is related directly to that).

Likewise, I knew the site rules and agreed to them when I signed up. If I didn't like them, I didn't have to join.

Well I do street race and drive an import and have no tickets, no accidents and just don't have a 24hr dragstrip at every corner (I also like going to the strip). I have seen lil ford rangers minivans ect. racing on the street and I'm not saying it's the greatest thing to do but if I get caught thats my prob and I will deal with it. I personally don't see what all the fuss is about either it's good promotion it's fun to watch (to most) gets people educated on car setups and me for one if I see a dragstrip vid it has to be something crazy for me to click on it. Why not try to just get rid of the vid instead of the whole thread and why should you care if there is a link to another site there just telling people where they need to go to see something they want to see?

^ That is the decision of the site owner and the moderators. I knew that when I signed up for the site and agree to it.

IMO, if you decide to street race, then by all means that is your own decision. The activity in and of itself is still illegal however. It is the stand of this site not to allow it. As such, they delete anything that promotes/involves it.

Maybe people Like this site and don't want to leave (which is a good thing) and the fact most of us drive the very car that the site was intended for. I understand there should be rules but I don't think a streetracing vid is going to cause some catastrophic uproar that evom can't deal with and yes I know there prob not going to change that rule

I agree with the first part. I love this site and I don't even own a lancer/evo anymore. I'm still here because I enjoy it and find it useful.

Street racing however was a touchy subject and EvoM (Mark and the mods) decided to NOT allow it. Regardless of how we may look at it, it is still their decision. I agree, it probably wouldn't cause an uproar, however I have no say or decision on that. If I really feel the need to watch those videos, I can go to nearly any other forum and watch them on those sites instead.

I also find it funny that most of the vendors on this site would tear someone up on the street without thinking twice and have heard reference to that many times. Just to let you know Z non of this is directed at you in a bad way and I am not trying to start trouble and again I love going to the track and most of the time I am doing the speed limit also infact I am getting passed by minivans, moms in SUV's ect when driving. When there is a big EVOM sticker on someones car that is streetracing then they should worry about it being on here and again I know they won't change that rule.

Laying down some basic ground rules is not close-minded.

I know when I invite people to my house I expect a certain level of maturity. If you do not measure up, you will not be welcome back to my house.

Have some respect for the enormous efforts put on by these guys.

If you're so smart to point out that they allow discussions about modifications including test pipes, why do you say they're strict?

Your rant is flawed. Your poll does not contribute to the spirit of this site.

I know you aren't aiming it at me.

I haven't read any of the threads you are referring to. I usually hang out in OT, but just happened to browse some of the other forums this morning.

Agreed. Unfortunately, there is also a legal aspect to their standing. There is also the personal aspect of it. That is, I know that if, for example, I posted a vid. that had someone doing something illegal and someone ran across that vid and tried the same thing and as a result died; I wouldn't be to enthusiastic about that.

I know I know.................... Doing a great job? What is your point? The mods are enforcing the site policy (which you don’t agree with) or they just suck because they have the power? Pick one.

The quality of this site is measured by its techincal content and information exchanged between members. Those discussions would be buried beneath the pile of crap you desire to see. For the final time, it is not going to happen and the moderators will enforce the site rules. You can disagree with the policy, but you will follow them or be removed. Thank you for the feedback.
