"important information" - You're kidding right? Because someone posts "lol" or "congrats" on 50 different threads, you think that somehow means they're honest?

 

The only complaint I have about this is there might be someone who has been on the forum for a year and posts once a month, and you can have another person who has been a member for 1 month and posts every day. The difference is meaningful and meaningless. Of course, we really can't gauge that because what's meaningful to someone could be construed as meaningless to someone else. I agree that it shouldn't be based on how many posts you have, but join date might be a little too easy. Good luck to you, though, on making this forum even better!

 

It's not fully worked out yet. Like I said it'll be further down the road. Things might change.

Whenever I buy anything, if the person doesnt have any feedback( or much) I base it on posts more than join date. Scammers dont usually post and browse the forums. Most useless posts go on in off topic where there arent any post counts anyway.

 

You can still search through a user's posts and see their post count in their profile page. Here's mine:

Searching and reading their posts can help give an idea of what they're like.

We have a few ideas that we're working on that should give a more accurate picture of how the members participates on the forums.

I agree that something probably needed to be done, and I realize it is still possible to see the post count on the profile page, but it was a good way to get a quick idea of how active somebody is.

 

Yeah, but it got annoying, I think this is a good call.
