I agree.

I think this place is run well. My hats off to those of you who keep this place in check. (well, for the most part at least)

This forum makes me laugh sometimes on how strict it is but that is how it should be. This is a car forum after all, not a general BS forum. I would like to see the control on Off-Topic loosened a little. A flame or two now and then is good for ya.

We're not saying you can't have problems with people. We're saying keep them off the forums. A flame in OT usually leads to a flame in an on topic forum. That's my understanding of it. I can only assume that's why Mark made the rules that way.

I appreciate what the moderators do to keep the forum clean but lately a lot of my posts have been deleted for no reason or my threads closed for no reason. Just to show, my post count has dropped by over 50 posts just over the weekend while the moderators cleaned house AGAIN. Yesterday I wrote a long reply to a thread only to find that it was closed while I was writing the reply and I spent all that time typing in vain. I agree with both sides in here.......good job keeping everything organized but loosen up a bit on the OT boards and General discussion boards. I think it's rude and a childish display of a power trip in some cases. Just because the moderators think something isn't important it doesnt mean that other think the same way. Mark is fine...i'm talking about some of the other moderators. Mark is always really pleasant and good about not deleting for no reason.

For the most part mods do a good job and a necessary one but I have seen them add content (information) that is not true! People tend to believe them because of their official status. That is a bad thing. Maybe this should be avoided in the future by some of our moderators!!

CG949, if you're referring to posts in the "Boycott these dealers" thread I think that was part of a big cleanup to keep the thread from going too far OT. Anything you feel was important you can just repost. I think most mods notify people when they delete posts, but when it's a big thread cleanup that becomes awfully time consuming. Anyway, if you do have problems with things like that, try contacting the mod of that particular forum or myself and we'll try to straighten things out for you.

Oh, I didnt know the boycott thread was cleaned up too! That's awesome...it was a huge mess.

I'm talking about some other general threads. But, it's all goo. I really respect the mods and I hope I can be one here some day.
