If it was me, I wouldnt worry about buying from someone that isnt anwsering their pms. Kind of sounds a little shaddy to me.

Heh, I've been reading on this forum for quite a while now, though I've really never posted many comments on here. Mostly staying in the background reading everyone else's comments and taking in all the information. I had no idea up until today that you actually needed 50 posts or more to buy anything on this site. I always figured the best way to make a purchase was to use the PMs. Guess there's a solution to every problem. If I ever make it up to 50 posts, it'll be nice to see what differences this forum has to offer.

I looked it up a little while ago. One needs 500 posts to become "evolved". I've got a couple hundred left to go

Im with lancealot here. I think that time as a member should be calculated into the status. If you really think about it. Someone that has a low post count, but a long membership probably posts more meaningful data then someone with a high post count, but shorter membership. Meh, guess it doesnt really matter. Oh yeah, now im postCount++

Heh, this site is good guys... there are sites out there where you can't even PM somebody

I bought a beater and was surfing the net to buy a new muffler for it because mine was rusting and I found one but the site wouldn't let me sent PMs before I had a certain number of posts
Point of the story... imagine writing 50 meaningfull posts about your beater

actually this caveat of a number of posts prior to entry to the for sale section was added per the request of the membership. if you see the thread below. Prior to this requirement there were a lot of scammers and spammers cluttering up the classified sections. I hope this adds a little bit of clarity as to why the rule is in place.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ad.php?t=41556

and a little more info: (from the FAQ section, I didn't change the format)

Due to the numerous incidents and/or complaints where our own members were being scammed by new users, we have now instituted two requirements before any posting can be commenced within the entire Private For Sale Forum.

Requirements:
1. Must be a member for longer than 7 days.
2. Must have a minimum of 50 posts.

If you meet the above requirements, you are eligible to post within this forum.

If you are caught selling and/or advertising in other forums outside of the For Sale section, your account WILL be suspended and/or terminated upon our discretion.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE CAUGHT POST WHORING, YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE BANNED FOR 7 DAYS!
