Question about my signature

Every few days or so, I notice that the hyperlink at the end of my sig disappears. I hyperlink it again, and it works, but then a few days later, it's gone again. Is there any way possible for this to happen on its own randomly, or is it more likely that a mod (or mods) is removing it?

If it was a mod removing it, I assume they would message me, because it's happened 4 times now, and if they thought it was illegal and saw that I kept re-doing it, then I would think they'd give me a stern warning or something.

Anyway, just for reference, the vendor being linked _IS_ a registered vendor here. His username is Total D.

Just to clarify, but what should the hyperlink be?

The great Oz (LancerEvoMR - Admin) offers the following:

The reason was Vbulletin trimming your signature. NOT moderators covertly tinkering with it as you wondered aloud. Take a look at the source code for your sig and start counting. When you include all of the color, font and size changes, it doesn't take long to get to 500.

Yes, but when I exceed the max character limit, it tells me and won't let me submit the signature. I know this maximum very well, because otherwise everything in my sig would be hyperlinked. Notice I had to remove my 12.000 with timeslip, because that left no room for the sponsor names. I only have room left for the one hyperlink on TDP.

Maybe you should change your signature daily. Each day, link to a different sponsor.

Yes, it'll go through when you DON'T use any coding (i.e. [url=www., [color=, [font=, etc....) towards the end. And that is why you won't see any message restricting you from submitting that amended signature. You're only fooling the system for a short period of time. The system will then modify your signature to meet the allotted limit. That's why instead of that TDP link crap, you see "[color=black", which is obviously incomplete (that is where the system cuts it off).

Bottom line, to sum it up, you've overloaded that signature. If you don't want it to happen, then erase any one of those words in your signature and add that TDP link in place of it.

That's it. Case closed.
