I think it is really really annoying to see people quote a post with a bunch of pics only to say something generic, e.g. "COOL PICS MAN", or "AWESOME EVO!!". Can you either make doing this a points related offense (even if it's just one tenth of a point) or make sure people know not to do this. It's taking up resources some where, not to mention people's time. .

 

i agree, i hate wen your looking through a thread for information on something certain but you have to scroll through 4 pages of ...."nice job".....5 pages of "do a search".....3 pages of "i have this"

It is definitely not going to be a points offense. Like many other things, this falls into the unenforceable category, and I don't think the site would benefit at all from it.

Also, in some instances, it's better that they do quote the pictures so everyone at least knows what the person is complimenting or agreeing on, particularly in longer threads that may span several pages.

 

if you are viewing 100 posts per page and a picture is on the page twice does it have to load twice or does it load once and display in two places?

 

I quote, but I don't quote with 100,00 pictures or 40 paragraphs in it...just the line or one picture (MAYBE) that I'm responding to.

 

it only has to load once, so it's not using up any extra bandwidth

 

quoting all the pics is indeed quite annoying, i support efforts to fight this.
