server error question

over the last two months I started to get a "error: can't find page" or service error message when on evom

basically this is what happens...

I'll be going through threads and once and awhile I'll get an error (basically like the browser can't find the site)

this has been happening more and more often...usually my remedy is to just keep refreshing (after about 10-15 taps on f5 to refresh the page, the browser will load the page I was at)

I have windows xp/mozilla firefox (latest version)/cable modem

any logical reasoning for this?
can I change any setting to prevent this?

-it also did it with internet explorer

thanks,
Jeff

That's the setup I'm running, and I get similar errors. We are in the process of an upgrade here at EvoM and there are some kinks to be worked out, so I think we all may get these errors from time to time until the update is finished.

It's a database issue on the server end and has nothing to do with your system or setup. The typical error messages are:

"PHP has encountered an Access Violation at 7C8224B2"

"Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:\websites\EvolutionM.net\www\forums\includes\cla ss_core.php on line 363"

Also, an occasional 404 error

The latest fix I applied to the site should take care of the issues listed above. I'm crossing my fingures....
