Why are threads closed without explanation?
Trending Topics
as with most discussions and not pertaining to just this board, they can be explained even further until maybe, just maybe the original discussion can be seen and agreed by both parties.
who knows maybe someone else would of suggested an even better idea, similar to mine.
if you try to discuss something and the other person decides not to talk about it, how can anyone ever agree on anything?
If you really think there's more to discuss, I can reopen it, but I guarantee that we are not going to give the normal user, no matter what their reputation/experience, the ability to moderate the posts of other users.
Well, I think that with 3 SuperMods and An Admin in agreement the chances are really slim of the OP's idea happening. I really can't see the use of further discussion, but you can do it here if you wish.

The moderator's close many threads daily for a variety of reasons. In most cases we will post a reason in the last post or send a PM to the OP.
We have considered giving members the right to delete their own posts and/or ownership of threads they start. Member's can edit their own post now and we have to deal with reported posts that are subsequently edited before we have a chance to review the comments. It would create additional problems for the moderators as members disagreed on the OP's edit or deletion and ask for moderator help. We have no plans moving toward self moderation at this time. Thanks.
