We strive to be a community right? We inform each other of possible issues and sometimes meet each other in "real life". We have also have been known to come to the aid of each other and help troubleshoot or even install/ fix components for each other.

There are times when good members have REALLY bad luck. Since most of us are X owners, we are under warranty, so that isn't to bad. But what about the guy that gets his warranty voided for an exhaust and then the tranny diff pops and mitsu won't cover it. While some will say "tough luck, you shouldn't have modded it", most will admit that is total BS.

I propose we setup a paypal account that the moderators control. When a "community member" is hit with some god awful bad luck, the moderators could determine eligibility and also determine if assitance is needed, then we could all contribute $5 or greater to the cause. I would be more than willing to contribute $10 to someone in need on this board.

Of course we would have to watch for the scammers and I also will not give out $10 to every member with a sob story, but if a member truely needed help as determined by the moderators, I would be willing to help.

Let's help each other guys.

Yeah, there's just no way. People have even scammed members on this site into "donating" to them because of their sob story.

 

Well, that sucks, I was hoping you MODS could weed through some of the BS.

 

Uh, how? We can't go and visit someone every time they want to claim some money.

Also, the car game is pay to play. Things breaking are part of the game and something people need to prepare for.

 

I wouldn't donate. You should know coming into the game that there will be headaches. It's called downtime, and anyone here who knows what that is has a reliable d/d as a back up. Can't afford one? Sell your Evo and get more economical.

yea its a good idea to the people who think they may break something soon or dont have much money lol i dont have much money but ill do what ever it takes to fix my problems with my own money or borrowed money from plastic

How about some personal accountability? Anyone who destroys a performance vehicle while dumping money into it should pay for it themselves. In few cases, the warranty is honored by mitsubishi, but like someone above said, "Pay to play." If you can't afford to lose, then don't mod it, or even better, don't buy the car.

I would suggest to anyone considering donating to such a fund to look at other places to donate. Like an actual charity.

 

good idea man but the world hardly have honest people around anymore. I use to think like you did before but i been scammed and lied to so manys believing peoples stories. Its a cruel world we live in
