classified should no doubt have prices listed. why is a seller posting up a classified thread, to sell something asap, or just to create buzz ?? if to sell something, then post up a price right away, and eliminate dozens of imminent PM's back and forth, all asking the same exact thing. it just clogs up bandwidth

Price or BAN! - and I have run my own business in the past, and a lot of the retail stores stating they cannot post price because it is lower than what the "contract" says from the manufacturer, B.S. The only people that lose money from lower prices are the resellers, period. Most will try to generate more profit from labor, or repeat business.

I definately understand where you are coming from. But you're wrong. Marketing research has shown that brand name IS effected by price point and depending on the overall perception of a particular brand name, that price point, either high or low can effect both negatively or positively.

While I think for sale posts should definitely have prices listed, I feel like it only hurts the seller to leave that information out. It seems like a huge undertaking for the mods to monitor the for sale posts for prices, so would it be entirely worth it? If they're willing to implement this new policy, I'm all for it.

I agree with having a sales price posted. It alleviates huge threads and potential "low ball" complaints and potential buyers have a price range. Both sides will be better off.

I think price is listed 99% of the time anyways... And if its not listed the seller probably forgot to post price. Usually if a seller wants to move something fast they post price.... I really don't know what the point of this thread is.... If a seller wants to hurt there sales and not post price let them be...

All private listings should list a price, otherwise there is no point in listing the part.

I am getting pretty tired of the Ebay style bidding going on within FS threads as well as "PM me for price" garbage.

It should have been made a rule a long time ago. And those arguing that there aren't enough mods to enforce it, well there are enough members here who are irritated by annoying sellers to ensure every thread has a posted price.

All "For Sale" threads must be posted in the appropriate subforum of the Marketplace. All "For Sale" threads should provide sufficient information, including price, pictures (if appropriate), location of seller, and willingness to ship. "For Sale" threads MUST include a price.
