They don't seem to have a way to do that, but the mods are happy to do it for you. I pm'd SASD about changing the Evo's in Utah thread to just say Utah Evos (since we got new stickers saying Utah Evos) and he did it for me real quick!

Please PM a Moderator responsible for the particular section or report the post with your request. We do not currently have plans to allow self-moderation or editing of thread titles. Thanks.

Better yet, you can report the thread so everyone on staff has a record that the change was requested, and we can verify that it was done.

How do you report a thread? Only thing I know of is reporting a post and it specifically says: "Note: This is ONLY to be used to report spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. "

Well me needing a title change isn't really in any of those categories...

But it says I am ONLY to use that if it is spam, advertising message, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts. Clearly if it is my post, I probably am not reporting it if it is bad. Maybe you should change that note...

Ideally that's all it would be used for.

However, as Hobie said, it's preferable to PMing individual staff members.

Ditto, thanks for the tip on that guys. I had been telling people to just pm a mod, but the report post thing probably works a lot better.

The thing with reporting a post is that it goes out to all the Mods of that section, plus all Supers. If you see a Mod online and he happens to cover the section that you're having an issue with, by all means feel free to PM them. We really don't have an issue with people using the 'report post' function for a legit purpose. Perhaps we should re-write the little instructions that cover the 'report post' button to make it a little less intimidating to use?

Just out of curiosity since I don't see it mentioned. Why can't members edit their titles ?
