vBulletin is actually pretty straight forward code. I don't think it would take thousands of man hours either. I've developed a few iPhone apps (one that uses webkit), it's not very complicated. I'd volunteer but I'm swamped as it is. My main job is a web software engineer, any semi-experienced developer could write interfacing code with vbulletin easily.Originally Posted by WestSideBilly
You would need to coerce the vBulletin team to write an application that can interface with the databases in a more streamlined manner. EvoM is a fairly straightforward vBulletin site and nobody on our staff is going to spend hundreds/thousands of man hours developing an application for a moving target.
With that being said, I agree, the mobile evom site sucks. I can't stand using it on my iphone. I rather use the full evom site instead.

I also agree that the mobile site is no good. I cannot get to Evom at my work so I'd rather have the normal site view on my phone. It would be better to have the normal version as the standard and be able to choose to switch to the mobile.

after a week or two of using the mobile site, I wish there was a button to "view in classic mode"

is there only an iPhone mobile site? I try to view evom on my blackberry and I only get the full site. And yes, the browser is set to identify itself as a mobile device, and not FF or IE.

Tapatalk already exhists as a good APP for the Iphone. It is free for EVOM to install. Hopefully they will just do that. Nasioc has gone this route and it works VERY well.
