You are wrong. This was my decision based in no small part on the discussions among the Staff here.

If a vendor wants to participate, all he/she needs to do is pm the member who is asking for the part. Also, you guys can make it where members can only start a thread, and not be allowed to read any of these threads, including the thread and title that the member started. If a member has vendor or moderator status, then that member will have full access to read and pm at will, but will not be allowed to post, only pm. That would eliminate non-vendors from undercutting the vendors. I am currently looking for a special order part and am not willing nor have the time to pm 20 vendors or hope that the vendor selling the item I need, sees my thread in WTB. The vendors are more than likely going to loose out from me this time because I would rather just google the part and find the lowest price on the web. I have always supported our vendors(well, most of them) and will continue to do so.
Yes, like I said, I am often wrong. It is not a problem. Is there any chance that you would be willing to comment on the rest of my post, which I believe are much more important than the one sentence of me saying that it MIGHT be vendor based? The other nine sentences that I typed are solutions to what was already offered as potential problems for moderators and vendors. Okay, thanks, again.

See post 13. Otter has explained our concerns, we are not looking at adding this feature to our forums at this time. In addition, we as routine do NOT read PM's and do not want to set a precedent of doing this.

All those things could happen in the WTB that we have now.

Anyway...Thanks for looking into it

It certainly does and it's a huge PITA to keep control over.

encourage vendors to read wtb posts in the existing section, and if someone wants to buy something new, they can put "new" in the title, then encourage anyone to send them pm's with prices on only new parts.
