Lightbulb Vendor To Member Interface update request

So anyone who has looked at the vendor section in the marketplace understands one thing. No prices are usually posted for parts. Out side the larger shops I assume this all depends on the pricing the shop can get from the supplier.

So some people have favorite shops that they use all the time reguarless of price. The rest of us are constantly looking for a good deal. So rather then PMing 5-10 vendors for prices on a certin part why not have the Vendor provide parts based on what the member is looking for.

The Idea.

A section where a member can post what he is looking for. The Vendors can look thru this section and provide pricing via PM to the member. This way all vendors have a chance to make a sale. I know this would be something I would use. Hell I just PMed 5 places looking for a cheap set of brake lines.

I can elaborate more if required.

Thanks
Hunter

As a vendor I like this idea. Even a form of some sort could automatically notify all the vendors of the information. Even if I was bombarded with a bunch of emails I could pick out the ones I know I can get good deals on and reply to them. If it's slow, take a shot at replying to all.

Especially as a new vendor I can see this being helpful to me help get those sales from the people that don't know I'm around yet. Which, talking about...PM me on those brake lines.

Hi and thank you for the suggestion! I would like to get the moderators and additional sponsors thoughts on this and will followup. I am concerned about adding additional forums that may not see much activity.
