We've had too many members ripped off by non-registered vendors and we are trying to take as many preventative measures as possible. When a company register as a vendor, we have all their contact information, so if someone feels ripped off or needs to contact the business owner... they can come through us to get info on that business.

Hey Kareem, long time no see brother!! Regarding this, what about vendors who literally do not respond to emails and phone messages for months at a time? You've had several members ripped off by registered vendors, and yet I still see their SN's with vendor status. What is Evolutionm.net doing to prevent this kind of customer service or lack thereof. On a side note: I understand that vendors are a HUGE source of income for the site, but it shouldn't mean that they should be given carte blanche to highjack people's threads, especially in the tech forums. I'm beyond tired of watching threads being deleted because a certain "vendor" has a constant flame war following him. We are the poor bastards that take the time to post our acheivements only to have that time wasted by, to remain nameless', posts (anyone with a brain knows exactly of whom I speak). Thanks for your attention to this, hope to see you at an SCLC meet soon.

As far as your sencond point, I think we covered that in our PMs.
Wow... I'm actually making 2 posts this week
hehehe
I guess it's the engineer in me speaking; I deal with this type of stuff at work all the time. I know in spirit everyone is just trying to do the right thing and no one is perfect. From honest discussions, people can narrow down to an acceptable process that everyone will follow or suffer from the consequences of the actions of not following the terms.
We use the term SLA for Service Level Agreements. Coupled with project Post Mortems to discuss issues that arise after a project is complete.
I think from this discussion, another suggestion I came up with (but didn't make any effort to see if it already exists) is to make a section for Vendor Praise/Gripes. That way these things are not cluttered into the general topics or whatever. That way you can use radio buttons for each Vendor, that someone posting can choose and then write a praise or gripe about them. As with any customer/company interactions, their will always be satisfied and dissatisfied people. This will allow people to see if the OVERALL experience with a vendor is good or bad. You could probably even toss in some metrics to see Overall rating of a Vendor by types of service (ie: price of goods, quality of product, service, competency, responds to questions, etc...). Maybe a particular vendor is great on Price and Quality of goods, but is a total *** to contact. Those things can be reflected so people will know what to expect. Also allow people to change their views on a vendor as time goes by, because all shops go thru phases as they grow. They are always great in the beginning and then become cocky as they grow, but as they lose business because they are cocky... they learn to reach a middle ground and be more stable (at least for successful companies).
But I’m sure all of this will take time to do and that is one thing most people don't have too much of
Good luck all
and have a happy Turkey Weekend!!!

Banned? Nah, just put on double super secret probation.
Now I'm speaking generally here because I didn't see the post(s), but just a few things to think about:
Please keep in mind the reason we pull unregistered advertising is because it's unfair to our paying vendors. We do what we can to keep our vendors happy without being unfair to our membres. Vendors pay fees to advertise here, and as a result the forums remain free to join, post and of course read. We do of course recognize that a forum is nothing without members, so please understand where the staff is coming from when things like this happen.
As I understand it, a good bit of this has been covered in PM's though.

I think the mods here are very reasonable, and do what they need to do.
They are helpful as well, before I swapped the password for this account and forgot about those confirmation emails, and they next day the account was frozen, they gladly helped me out and resent the confirmation email, and now sol goode.
I think whatever they do we should respect it, maybe some people feel that they did something that they shouldn't have, and thats good and you should express your thoughts.
Though without them, think of what this forum would be like? STi Killa's lies, evo flammers, pointless posts, immature n00bs, and that kid who wanted to buy a skyline for 70g$ Canadian.
