Time limit to post?

I have tried a few times to post about a problem I'm having but every time I hit "Submit New Thread" I'm taken back to a Log In screen. My post may have been a bit long winded and I can't type worth anything so it takes me some time.

I know this may be a really dumb question but I'll ask anyways: Is there a time limit to write and post a new thread?

Thanks LOL. I just noticed the time setting in my profile was way off. Maybe it was just that.

The time out is 15 minutes. You can somewhat get around it by selecting "keep me logged in" when you log in.

Another recommendation until you get the hang of things:

After writing out your post, highlight everything you wrote.
Hold Ctrl and hit C.
If the window times out, log back in, and go to "new thread".
Instead of typing out your post again, click in the box, then Hold Ctrl and hit V.

It will paste everything you copied from your other post.

Hey!

On Evom a user must remain inactive for 20 minutes before their log in session expires. Please let me know if that is not the case. Thanks!

Suggestion: can the option to remain logged-in indefinitely, or at least for longer than 20 minutes be added to the site, please. 20 minutes isn't much time, and those of us who like to waste hours of their lives reading and posting on the forums would really benefit from this.

It's bothersome having to repeatedly log in 3 times in a session, or as the OP and others have said, lose a post because you were logged out while writing a post.

Hi,

It can't be indefinite as the setting also controls how long a user will remain on Who's Online after their last activity. Do you have 'Remember Me' check? I'll check 'under the hood' for a couple settings that can affect a forced logout. Thanks.
