So far I don't like the new site.

IMHO

 

I hate it! Too much "pretty", not enough useability.

I'm a Firefox user and the site is terrible under Firefox. At 1280x1024 on a 17" monitor it's like sitting in the first row of a movie theater - everything is to big and I need to moving around the screen to catch everything.

The new layout wastes space and loads very slowly. I also need to scroll forever due to the massive user-icon area. The forum icons seem to be ripped straight out of a care-bear cartoon. Posts no longer show a date and time - people will not realise they are replying to something 6 months old. The color scheme also bugs me, but whatever.

 

At First I didn't like the new design. Now that I have logged in and have messed around with alot of the new features I think it's actually easier to navigate. The home page i do not like though. The organization on it is less then perfect. If you guy's could get the home page to be like the original it would be an awsome change IMO.https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ed...post&p=911783#

I think the new layout is crappy. What was wrong with the last look. Last one was better and thats my words on it folks.

 

Don't like it can't figure out how to put a picture in. To hard to navigate.

 

1-replying by "post reply": i couldn't figure how to change font size, color, or type
2-doesn't do a quick search by username anymore
3-seems a little slower; mabye because of different interface or maybe b/c i at work
4-layout is nice....i like the new look
5-just some technical things need to be taken care of

 

oh, and now everyone has title of "registered user"
no more newbie, evolving, evolved

 

I really like it, it looked like alot of time and effort went to making this site what it is today, i give you the big thumbs up on the "new" site

its too generic and plane. I like the other one because it had more color and vibe to it. Looked real neat and proffesional. This one looks toooo plain, it doesnt stand out as much, this is the evo/lancer forum, we should have the *BEST* looking forums on the web :muhaha Muhaha:

 

I don't like how I can't push the smilies with the mouse and have them pop up that way without actually having to type -thumbsup- or whatever the smiley is I'm trying to use. It doesn't show what kind of car anyone drives anymore so I don't know if Joe has an EVO or a ****ty *** ES or whether or not Joe Blow even owns a Lancer at all. I also dislike how if I post a picture in one thread I can't post it in another thread. That's rediculous. If you can improve these few things I've mentioned then all should be well. But overall, the site went from a 9 out of 10 down to a 4 out of 10.

 

Don't care for it too much. Old site seemed easier to navigate

 

The design and all looks great!..but like midwestmonster mentioned..it is a bit hard to navigate compared to the old site. and some parts are still a bit slow when loading... overall i like it..haha..

 

hopefully Mark can bring the old design back and everyone will be happy

 

90% chance that the old design cannot come back there are not enough "forum home" enhancements released yet for vb3. and the variables is completely changed and is now all template and phrased based.

so get used to the site, the only other good alternitive is the way dc evo club is laid out... there are not many choices for vB3
