Any good roads to drive in Houston?

I'm tired of long straight road of Houston, I wanna find some twisty roads (preferably at hillside...) to have some fun....safely. So I also prefer some quiet area.

Any suggestions?

There are some just west of Katy. I took a back way to Bryan one day and lots of winding roads. Still not going to get much elevation change though.
I still miss US 250 from Virginia to West Virginia (where I used to live).

After having lived there for two years, the funnest road to drive on for twisties is short and sweet. The answer is -> Allen Parkway. It's a road that twists and turns, goes below street level and back up again several times. I wish it were longer since it basically ends as it intersects with Shepherd Dr

However, watch for HPD, especially during commute times.

I knew Allen parkway would be fun, but...you said it:

watch for HPD, especially during commute times.

Well, an alternate is to head up by the Hooks airport in Tomball - sorry, outside of the 1960 / hwy 6 loop of things in H town, but there are a few roads up that way in the sticks that have some curvy sections.

Houston, as a city in a state which puts the concept of public transportation equal to communism, had had no problem in seizing land through the years for road construction, meaning that most roads are laid out neatly with little to no "fun" sections.

At least you can use the Hardy Toll Road North from 610 as a high speed straightaway test. I think that for the first 6 miles you barely have to touch the steering wheel to go straight. I used to flex my turbo Volvo's muscle on that road in the wee hours of Sunday mornings while heading home from friends' Sat night alcohol fests in West U. Hitting 130 to 140 as I headed up towards my place near 1960/45N while everyone (including HPD) was in bed always put a grin on my face for the start of the day.

Fun roads between The Woodlands and Lake Conroe west of 45. Honea Egypt was my favorite and is the only name I remember. At night, blind turns and little hills, ahhhhh scary and fun as ****. Just watch out for those FFA kids and their 500 lb pigs and nutrea.
