New to Ft. Worth
New to Ft. Worth
Hi guys, my name is Phillip. I am going to be graduating from Texas A&M this December and I have recently taken a job with Sewell Automotive in Ft. Worth at the Lexus store. I know absolutely nobody in the DFW area, but I am looking to get into the scene. I will be moving into my apartment on the 26th of December on a road called Bryant Irvin right off of I-20 and I will have a garage. I have run my own small performance shop here in College Station for the last 2 years and I would like to help any of you guys out with installs on any kind of parts you have. I want to join the NTEC group eventually, but I don't know anyone so I guess I'm leaving it up to you guys to come here and set me straight with what there is fun to do in the area, where not to go, where the meets are, and hopefully make some new friends in the process.
cool man welcome to the area, let us know when you want to join NTEC, shoot me an email at jason@evotexas.org and we'll set u up with your membership!!

hey welcome to the area! i am also pretty new around here, but the NTEC guys are awsome. basically when they say we are going to meet up, be there and your going to have a great time. last time we all went to speed zone and raced go-carts. somehow it ended up as a demolition derby, but still great times.
oh and i had a question for you monkey... it's your coffee shop were meeting at correct?
just by chance, is this a coffee shop where hot single girls hang out? (it seemed as if all coffee shops were all like that in michigan) cause moving down ment breaking up with my girlfriend up north. and now i should start looking for a new one
haha ok. let the jokes begin!

Yeah, you should come buy on a time when it's not a car meet and see for yourself. There are times when there are some really hotties in there and sometimes it's dead.

thanks for the welcome guys. just so you know i dont own a evo as of yet... i currently own a 350z with quite a bit of stuff done to it (12.8 at 108), however it is going to be sold within a week of moving up there and I will be buying an evo. On that note, do any of you know anyone that is selling one in the dfw area. Im looking forward to moving down and I am sure we will have some good times.
I would like to get either a black or white, but honestly I would not be that picky... I get into cars more to drive them not to look at them, so I guess it doesnt really matter that much. I would rather get a stock one because of the transfer case problems....you know some people can't drive and tend to do alot of damage. I will most likely be dropping the tc and tranny with a week or two of owning it for a new clutch. I love autocross and roadracing so I will be looking to get into that when I come down as well. I would really appreciate it if you could help me out jason. Thanks again.
glad to hear your a roadrace/autocrosser! that is where my interest lies as well. as of right now i am not doing anything with the evo in that respect, but i think in the spring i may try to do a track day or two with it. i am trying to prep my 944 for a track only club racer car, but that is a few years off yet.
Welcome to North Texas Sewell.... its a great place to own a Evo.. ( once you do )
Just stay away from certain Mitsu Dealers ... But I am sure Jason will tell you about that.
as for the Z, my friend has the G35 coupe... are you planning on selling any aftermarket parts off of it before you trade/sell it... if so he may be interested.
