Car show, I"M THERE!!!! My ride should be ready for the show by Saturday!!! We need to meet up, all of us from S.A., and roll down there together. Is there a fee to enter or is it just a public thing? Let me know.

i'm pretty sure there are no fees cuz they are filling up our tanks and giving us money for a meal at chili's for our attendance. I think they just want to show off some mitsubishi performance. Did you get your hose kits? when is your car not ready for a show? heh. i got my cams in...all i can say is wow. i just realized i wasn't setting my cam gears properly. 272's idle like stock...it's great for mid and top end power. i think just cam gears set properly will do good things.

For all of those coming, WOOT! WOOT! I would like to suggest that we meet at my house and drive to the dealership together. I'll post a map as soon as I figure out how to do so.

if you're from SA, lets plan on meeting at 8:30 am or earlier if desired... what road do we take to Victoria? nevermind, its HWY 87 all the way, right Whoosh? is there an easier way to get there?

where should we all meet? I have no idea whats around there but what about just meeting at 1604 and HWY 87 on the southeast side of SA???

Whoosh, PM me your address and I'll throw a map up, or just PM other people with directions.

Bob, are we going to meet up earlier so we can touch up our cars, since they'll be dirty from the drive? i know how bad the bugs can be out on 87, especially if it's a hot day. only 10 evo's can come?

eric, let's meet at 87 and i10.

i10 and 87 sounds great. anyone know whats around there? what time are we meeting? a little earlier maybe? say 8? 7:30? 4:29? I'm probably gonna wash the heck out of my car friday night and then just give it a once over at bob's...

i'm sure more than 10 can come. I think thats just the number he threw out. he's old remember, his hands were tired after 10. man I'm mean.

OK, well here's the directions (Bob, correct me if I'm wrong) and the maps... custom maps no less. I only charge $0.36 (less than a stamp) so I'll be collecting next weekend.

From SA: Get on HWY 87 headed south. Take that bad boy for A WHILE. Does some weird left-right chicane-age in Cuero so make sure your navigator is prepared as this could cost precious seconds. Once in Victoria, 87 and N Main become the same thing and stay on that through a buncha city blocks until you see E Airline RD, at which time you hook a louie (LEFT). Go on that for a little bit until you hit (and cross at a leftward diagonal) Sam Houston Dr. You'll still be on E Airline Then turn right on Sundance Dr and then I believe Bob's house is at the corner of Sundance and Cabana Drives. 111 Cabana Dr is the street address and here's the pictures...

Blue = SA
Red = Houston
And if the "blue" is really purple or the "red" is green, TOO FREAKIN BAD i'm colorblind

Notice the Louie onto Airline and the leftward diagonal across Sam Houston!!!

Now, I've given you the approved racing line in this last one. HARD acceleration ALL the way down the straight, then nice flat hard braking into a pretty open right hander (MUST nail the apex to set up exit speeds) Then max throttle for the chicane on Sundance and full braking into a TIGHT right hander with 45º drifts onto Cabana and STRAIGHT into Bob's driveway. the ONLY approved passing zones are on Airline (out accelerating at the beginning and out braking at the end) and through the chicane on Sundance if you've got *****!!! enjoy...

ignore the red pointer on those maps, Google couldn't find his street address so it just pointed me to the street. here is where mapquest says his house is located...

if any of this is wrong Bob, lemme know and I'll fix it ASAP...

pretty simple from houston (i can throw closer maps up for the houston boys if needed)

come from H-town on 59 W or S (not sure) and come all the way into Victoria (stay right onto HWY 59/Houston Hwy right before the airport, its the ONLY tricky part cause 59 splits) then turn right on 463 (which you can actually do no matter which way you go at the 59 fork) then left on E Airline and left on sundance and right on cabana. I can do a racing line of the last part if anyone wants it!!! haha, MAN work is slow today...

Dude...you sooo crazy! The maps you posted are fine. The better route would be to get onto 463 from 87 at the new construction, but then it wouldn't be a much fun as the "racing line" you provided. In either case you'll get here.

Ten was just a number out of my a$$. I would be wonderfully surprised if that many came. This has the makings of a party.

ovenmit331, how about I put these old, wrinkled, arthritic hands around your neck?
Hey I may be old, but I'm not completely senile...yet!
