Well, actually I care. I just got done boarding up the house, picking up all the loose objects around the the yard and filled up the tanks on the cars. I'm heading north Thursday afternoon until Ms. Rita blows over. I hope I have a house to come back to.

My house back home is 2 miles from the coast . It is boarded, and my parents are leaving this evening.

Lancerguy...We are going north/west. A meet would be great, but I have other things on my mind right now. Thanks for the info anyways.

Ben...I wish your family the best of luck. I don't envy anyone leaving the Houston/Galveston area. Mucho traffic! God bless you and your family.

I think S.A. will get winds and rain, not much more. This Rita is going to be a B_tch on the coastal communities though. Just what we need, more hard times. Bahh.

My house recieved a fair amount of damage from the last hurricane and that was only a 2. Can't imagine what a 4 or 5 is going to be like.

we're gonna hold down the fort. I already taped the windows, stocked up on water + food + batteries + gas. We have a flood facility next door so i definately know it won't flood. Just worried about the winds which shouldn't be too bad.

also, my plans for saturday, as retarded as this sounds, and to go mountain bikin. yeah. at a ranch out in the middle of nowhere. the mud and rain should make it quite eventful... woo hoo.
