Dallas - Are my Advans OK for Winter?

I know it doesn't actually get COLD here, but for our winter months, do I need to worry about the grip of the Advans during our cold spell? Or do I just need to be aware that the tires are not going to perform quite the same?

Well as long as you dont have to deal with snow lol, I think you will be ok, just be easy until you get some heat built up in them on those extra cold days.

Advans will be fine. But i remember watching a Dallas Cowboy game where it snowed and they lost to the Dolphins when dallas touched a block punt. Rush, Rush and go buy winter tires

You'll be fine. I used them in the snow last year. (the one day where snow stuck to the ground)

Don't try to corner wildly and all, just drive normal and you'll be fine.

The only thing you have to worry about is after the car has sat all day or night and you first start it up. The Advans will be like rocks, stay out of boost until the car is warmed up...the tires should be by that time as well. Like a dumba$$ I floored it around a corner with the tires still cold and the back end slid right out into the curb...don't do that! Otherwise you'll be fine.

or if you are from the north in my case, you will drift around every corner for a hundred feet just because it is fun as hell. i have to admit though... only maybe a week of the year is actually suitable for drifting (without destroying tires). and even that week is just a dusting of snow with slick roads due to condensation.

advans are fine.

Dont worry about it... pretty soon you'll be praying for snow. Advans are the real deal but like somebody else mentioned be careful when the tires are cold when you first take off.
