Anyone interested?
Hello folks,
This is just a gauge to see how many Evo or DSM owners, here in the Round Rock or Austin area, would be interested in having a Tuner fly-in for our tuning needs. I think this would be a great alternative to driving out of town. It would also give us more options here in the Austin or Round Rock area.
The person I have in mind is Mr. Dan S. with Garage Defeat. He has tuned my vehicle in the past and I have been very satisfied with his work. I’m confident that he would be willing to come down, provided there are enough people that sign up. For now, it would be a “Street Tune” but hopefully we’ll be able to locate a dyno that we could use.
If interested, please send me a Private Email. Thanks.

Not sure if you know, one will be here next month. Mark from Turbotrix is flying in on March 11th to tune here in San Antonio. He has tuned hundreds of Evo's and has a great reputation in the Evo community.

I have to agree with j8. Unless you are against getting tuned by Mark for some odd reason, SA isn't that far away.
I think more likely MZM would be resistant because they offer ECU tuning too. Then again, if the price was right, or there was some other incentive (business outside the tuning aspect, i.e. parts or installs) they may be up for it.
That said, the SA tuning day is the best option currently.

... You're probably right - they probably would not want to rent out their dyno. I'm not against getting tuned by Mark, it's just the distance you know, especially for "time-strapped" persons like me. I don't need any tuning right now. Rather, I need to have my ignition installed - HKS DLI II, wires, plugs e.t.c. I'm in the Round Rock area too, so it would be more of a drive for me.
MZM is basically the only choice over here right now, and I'm a little wary about them working on my car after some of the comments that I've heard on the boards.

We have asked MZM before about renting there dyno. They said they did not like to rent it out. I can understand there reasoning, since Turbotrix really is competition to them. If you need a good installer and do not mind the drive Precision R down here in San Antonio has always done great work on my car.
