Getting work done in Dallas

Who does work on Evo's in Dallas besides Alamo? I really need someone besides Alamo, so don't tell me how great Brice is, and that I should go there.

I use Fifth Gear in Lewisville.

But KevinD is good too and works for beer and pizza.

There's a vacuum leak somewhere under the hood. Brice has said he's going to fix it, but he hasn't returned my phone calls or e-mails for over a month. It's getting kind of annoying, and Arlington is about an hour away for me during the day, so I can't just stop by and leave my car.

He said he wanted to keep it for awhile and figure it out, but I can't get ahold of him. Like I said, very annoying.

Tell me about 5th gear in Lewisville?

Rick is awesome. They currently service 4 or 5 evos on a regular basis (mine is there now getting coil-overs installed), run their own race team (tons of Porsches in front) and are generally excellent mechanics.

If you are near by I suggest visiting the shop. Go north on 35E exit on 405 (beware of the construction you may have to get off early) head west. On your right next to a Sonic.

Thanks, sounds worth checking out. Of course I wish Brice could do my work, since he built my engine, but it needs to be done.

I agree. I've used them several times for alignments, bushing installations, etc. , and they've always done excellent work. The owner, Rick Jordan, is very knowledgable in all aspects of race car development and setup. It sounds like your problem is bit different, in that you may be trying to track down a vacuum leak somewhere. I would give Rick a call (972-317-4005), explain the problem, and see what he would charge to investigate it. One thing about Rick - he's trustworthy and he'll tell you straight.

The only decent 4g63 shop in DFW is Forced Performance.

If you go to 5th gear you better pray nobody but Rick touches your car. Theres more than I care to go into.
