That is a good place to start, but before you make any moves, I would make sure you know what you're going to do with the car and then discuss those intentions with people who've gained a lot of experience with the car..

Just my $0.02

Welcome to the neighborhood. I will be happy to help you install the TT or springs. I too have a GG IX MR and always willing to help a fellow EVO owner.

i guess i'll post this here since i started this thread. I'm about to order the works springs for my MR. Do i need the camber plates and bumpstops? And what do these two do?

Depends on your future goals and use for the car. What all are you going to do with it?

Camber plates allow adjustment of the lateral angle of the strut/spindle/wheel assembly so that you get the optimum contact tire contact patch. Bumpstops keep the suspension from hitting the chassis at full compression from a bump. Aftermarket bumpstops are not usually needed.

Suspension wise, i dont plan on doing anything besides the springs. Engine wise, i plan to just get a stage 1 and a tune. Not to much, dont want to go crazy, it's still my daily driver. Well i wanted springs made for the bilsteins and thats what the works springs are. If you bought works springs for your MR, would you buy camber and bumpstops?

Personally, I won't run without camber plates. But as for your situation, I'd buy them if I were to drive seriously on road courses. I would only buy the bumpstops if the factory setup was not appropriate for the new setup/purpose.

Wow, good thing I checked this thread finally. Always love the Monkey bashing

I can't help it that I thought putting sand in my engine would make the heads be ported and polished. It's not my fault that I thought that if you remove the header, you get better exhaust flow. Little did I know you had to connect the turbo to the engine that way man, I've got a lot to learn from you vastly knowledgable guys

My advice.... STAY AWAY FROM ALAMO. STAY FURTHER AWAY FROM ALAMO THAN YOU WOULD THE BLACK PLAGUE!!!!!

I never pass up an opportunity to punch the monkey.

Now I know why Ethan called me asking about camber plates and bumpstops...he wanted to pass off my knowledge as his own. I see your little game.

Brice is a cool guy, but i think some of the guys working for him don't really know what they are doing... i have had to fix more then a few alamo mistakes myself.

FP seems to be on top of things. i have no experience with them though, so don't take my word for it. personally, i trust myself more then some kid making a few bucks an hour. go to the evo meet at MSR when DH jr. holds the track day. FP will be there so you'll be able to get a feel for what they can do.
