Yes it works. I've driven half way across the country with it and back.

I just did a 4400 mile road trip to California and back (including 800 miles on historic Route 66). No speeding tickets, but I came close to a couple of times because my speed crept up without me noticing. Only the radar detector saved me.

I bought it at a place called Mobile Phonex in Lawton, OK. It cost $300 installed. They installed a stalk on my steering column and a box in my engine bay. It works better for me if I keep the EBC off. It doesn't work well in the mountain or hills. The Evo tends to surge because the cruise is trying to keep up the speed. On a long trip, it's great though.
I drove from Oklahoma to South Carolina (2 days). While there I took 2 trips to Florida and back (8 hours each way). I took a one way trip to Florida then a couple weeks later drove to Texas (2 more days). The cruise control was very handy most of the time.
It works better since I got the 10.5 hotside and MR BOV. I don't have as much boost surge so the cruise is less likely to hunt. It can be a bit touchy at times. You just need to play with it and learn how it works. It is not as good as a factory cruise unit, but at least no one even notices it until I point it out.

Thanks for the info!
I think of cruise control as an "unintended speeding ticket avoidance device". Nothing sucks worse than hearing the detector go off, looking down, and seeing you're doing 15 mph more than you thought you were.

Thats the exact same setup I had in my car. Very nice indeed. I just decided to shed weight and I found myself not using cruise as much so I pulled it out. Rostra will provide u instructions with a valid serial number....
