I am getting the Stg 1+ upgrade - 272 cams, gears, & walbro fuel pump. I also have some spark plugs I was going to throw in there because I have 16k miles and I have a test pipe to replace my hi flow cat.

Unfortunately, I'm in Fort Smith, Arkansas. I have found a shop up here that says they can do it tomorrow (they are old DSM guys I think), but I just need all the parts. If I can get off of work at a reasonable time on Friday, I will drive halfway into Texas that night and the rest of the way Saturday morning. Do you think it would it be possible to install the stuff in Houston if I don't get the parts until too late this week? That way I would at least know I was dealing with people who are really familiar with the Evo and I wouldn't have to drive that many miles untuned. What do you think?

I'm sure someone can help you out in Houston with the exhaust stuff and fuel pump but the cams/gears would be b**** to install during the tune date.

If the local shop can do it tomorrow then jump on it. Its not that big of a deal driving without a tune. Heck I know of someone driving around on a stock ecu with all the mods you've list above. Besides the HKS cams are designed to be relatively mild and safe. You will be fine, all of us have done it before.

 

adam5743: I would try to get the cams and camgears installed there, the fuelpump and testpipe are easy. I'm actually might be installing my LICP there, becasue it still hasnt come in

Ok i am all paid up, now here goes my gripe, will any of you guys please switch times with me, I am driving up from Brownsville 5:30 hour drive. I really need to get back that very same day. I havent really kept up on this thread but I honestly thought I was gonna be second one dynoed since I was the second one to sign up. If need be I could even throw in a couple of bucks to have one of you switch with me so I can get to driving early instead of getting dynoed at 5 oclock

I just finished my Stage 2 install last night I can only say one thing.... HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, FUGGIN WOW, OMG, DONKEY ****, Spank my as$, It's only a cold sore, PIITB, Ooooh oooh oh, *** burping gutter ****!

It is crazy and it is completly un-tuned and I only went like 1/2 throttle just to see that it would hold boost and run thru RPMs smooth.

 

I have all my parts and they are being installed now... however, the Walbro fuel pump was broken in the mail so I will need help getting that installed Saturday morning. Can anyone help me out with that?

We will have people there that I am sure will help. Bring tools and have NO MORE THAN 1/4 tank of gas unless you want to have gas soaked carpet in your back seat. Oh, bring like 3 rolls of paper towels too.
