Installations at Precision R.
Installations at Precision R.
Hello folks. I'm shopping around for a shop to perform a Turbo kit install, and I would like to know if anyone has had any major parts or modifications installed at Precision R. in San Antonio. By major parts, I mean turbo kits, stroker kits, clutches e.t.c. How would you rate their installation, knowledge and service?
I had my tranny / t-case and clutch installed overthere with very good service and no problems at all. I wasn't the only one either. Price is very very reasonable, the cheapest in Texas by far.
William will hook you up if you tell him that you've heard about him on evom. Tell him that Shaheen from Austin says whatup.

I had all my stuff done at precision-r, never had a problem with any of my install.
So far they are one of the best shop you can go to in texas, resonable price and very knowlegable in all mitsubishi and any japaness imports.
By the way, they do ecu flashes and AEM tuning.
You can reach them at 210-829-8200, look for willam.

They did all the work on my EVO and now do all the work on the SRT-4. I just had them install my Stage 3 turbo kit in my SRT-4 a couple of weeks ago. William is a stand up guy and always backs his work. I give them a big tumbs up...

How did they tune the AEM / ECU, and how did you get your car tuned after the turbo kit install? I've been told they don't have a dyno...

The turbo kit for the SRT-4 is plug and play. It is from Mopar and it comes with a new PCM for the car. As far as tuning on EVO's it is done on the street. Most of the top tuners will tune on the street if there is no dyno avalible. It is a great way to tune your car because the car is put under real loads which most dynos can not properly simulate. Most tuners will dyno tune and then take the car on a street tune afterwards to ensure no knock is present. To my knowledge ther is no 4WD dyno's in San Antonio. William has been tuning cars for years and is very knowledgable.

Do you know if he is familiar with tuning a piggy-back like the TurboXS UTEC?
