i tired searching a lil... all i found were people talking about their garret turbos or their precision turbos...

but back to what i was asking... Any real difference between the two companys when comparing an equal turbo? lets just say the GT35R (since it's the most talked about turbo) ... any major difference's between the turbos?

 

Good questions. Garret turbo's usually costs more. That would lead me to better quality products. I could be wrong though.

 

Precision is a Garrett/Honeywell distributor. The majority of PTE's turbos are Garret based, but they do offer some extra options that are not available through Garrett. Such as different turbine housings, compressor covers, and PTE specific turbos that are Garrett based. A good example of this would be there ball bearing 67mm turbo.

 

soo when talking about which is better (as in pullin more power) ... there's no real answer.. they are about the same?

 

precision casts there own housings for garrett chra's. powerwise they should be the same, although a .63a/r precision housing flows more then the garrett equivlant.

 

On AMS GT37 is written precision....
