Looks like "the enemy" will be out at the next AutoX. But I guess he already modded it enough to be in SM, so no AS battle this weekend. But it'll be good to see one in person finally.

 

he may not have it modded yet.........thats just the class he ran in in his WRX, so he probably just going there to keep his points, however, I would not put it past him to have a few goodies picked out

 

Well in any case it'll be nice to see one in person. I wonder if those Kumho's are off the WRX? The STI has Bridgestone RE-070's stock.

 

The stock WRX comes with BFGoodridge RE92 (crap) and not the Kumho's.

 

dazz: I know, I just figured if he was running SM in the WRX he probably replaced the RE92's with the Kumhos.

Upgrading away from RE92's was about the first thing I did on my old 2.5RS. Bought some P1 rims and some RE730's for them. Can't say much about the RE730's other than they were LOUD. But they were better than the RE92's.

 

Iodine, Rafal was at the one back in April in his yellow WRX, and is generally regarded as pretty good. He was in SM. Nice guy, has been into autocrossing for a long time.

He should break it in quick so he can unleash the beast at the AutoX. I'd really like to see the car in action. But I guess there's plenty of time for that, right?

rogue: Yes, it was last Sunday. There's one in SA next weekend that I'm thinking about coming down to. Otherwise the next Spokes event is on the 22nd.

The STI was there and looks a lot better in person in my opinion. I think he even beat EvoRevo and myself even though he was supposedly keeping it below 4k or 5k RPM. Of course he ws on race tires and is an experienced driver... so I assume it'll be a long while before I can offer a true challange.

 

Hey iodine, how'd you do this time around? Your times were real nice last time, but those cones, man...

 

gjhsu: I got first place (novice) in my 2nd autocross, and 2nd place (novice) this last time out. The cones kept me from 1st again this past weekend, but it was also a pretty poor course and a lot of people were DNF'ing and hitting cones. So I didn't feel too bad.

Are you going to come out to another even anytime?

 

I'm in DFW for the summer, but I'll be sure to be out there at least once during and around the school year
