New source for methanol in ATX

Just found out that our supplier thats supplies out cleanroom stuff has methanol.

Sealed 5 gallon container for $25 - tech grade 99.5%

I got 5 gallons of ****ty "straw colored" stuff from Austin Performance couple of weeks ago

go find a local biodiesel maker, go on the forums and there will be one somewhat local, 2-3 dollars a gallon typically...

well.....i'll be reluctant not knowing where they get theirs from.......dont want to buy more contaminated methanol

you can ask them and they will tell you...plus you can get a hydrometer to confirm the percentage and you would be suprised how much the farmers know about methanol...

hydrometer will tell you if there is a large amount of contaminant that will affect the specific gravity....eg water...real hard to read one of those especially with parallex, alternatively, a refractometer with SG = 0.7 to 1 if you really want to go optical.

$25 for a 5 gallon drum is not bad. I am getting it here for a little over $4.25 but it use to be $2.50, prices just went up.
