Well I thought I would share the results of the Texas Dyno Day @ FIS.

First I just wanted to say the FIS is a first class shop. Jason and Steve really took care of us. Jason worked in the blazing heat on the dyno and Steve cooked up some mean hamburgers for lunch. Overall the day was a lot of fun for all because these guys were working so hard.

Second everyone who came was really cool and I got the feeling everybody was having a good time. I have been to a few car meets where people just didn't seem to gel and it wasn't much fun, but this was not the case with this bunch. I would meetup with these guys anytime.

I didn't catch a few of the last runs of the days so I hope others will post there results here. (Take a hint, SILVER SURFER) edit: thanks for the update.

Personally I was pumped about my 242/242 perfomance on the dyno. It was tops for the day for a stocker and was equal to the top stock Evos FIS has dyno'ed. So it seems I have a ringer and that feels good!!!

I had a great time, thanks for organizing everything Rosso I beleive the other EVO put 254/255 or somewhere around there. They couldn't calibrate correctly for the Z and it only showed like 218...which isn't right...hah. Great job by FIS, I had a blast and thanks for the grub.

I wish I coulda been there, but I am out of the counrty for a couple of weeks. Damn good to hear that you all got along so good. I too have been to too many meets where people just don't click and its not productive for anyone in the situation. Hats off to your car evorosso you seem to definitely have a ringer on your hands, your tq figures even beat the Works reflashed evo, impressive. Makes me curious as to how you went about your break-in? Anyways, hope to meet you all soon at the next meet or something, btw anyone from that group auto-x at all?

 

I had a great time too guys. It was great meeting all of you guys. I look forward to seeing these meets in the near future, and perhaps my car will have more power by the time the next meet is going on

 

Rosso, thanks for putting together the meet. I had a blast meeting everyone, and discussing each other cars. We all got some great ideas on some future mods, by looking at each others setups. The dyno proved that Works 93 flash Ecu worked, the Hp 255 @ 6750 and 235.3 @ 4250 TRQ was very smooth throughout the run. I had no spikes in my run. Next month, I will be adding a downpipe, boost gauge, and manual controller. I will also Dyno my car again. At FIS, Jason and Steve did a outstanding job in working with each and everyone of us.

I followed the Mitsubishi break-in and can't really think of anything special I did. I just think Mitsu just built my motor really well and it was just luck of the draw.

EvoRevo is into AutoX, and he has the tires to prove it.

yeah watching all the EVOs i cant wait to get mine.....it was real fun and FIS did a kick *** job....and my friend w/ the 2.5RS is goin to get a Turbo Kit installed for $1400 from them! WOW!! then we can re-dyno.....they had installed a turbo on a 2.5 and it does 165hp and 230+tq WOWOWO.....the ***** will pull....anyway....im goin to the Army monday and will talk later.

 

I auto-X a lot...I mean a lot. Anyone want to donate some tires to me? I'll put your name on my car, heh

 

Damn, I wish I had noticed that post announcing this. I need to get a baseline since I'm pretty sure mine is a turd.

 

Revo: I shoulda saved my old advans for you to use as scrubs. They were down to the wear bars, but probably had a little more AutoX life left in them. No way I'd use them on the street, especially in the rains we had in Austin last week.

 

I'm definitely getting the Work's reflash now
